Dog Accessories – Are They Necessary?
Dog accessories are important to buy because they are necessary and practical, not to mention attractive.
Just as we humans need everyday necessities to make our lives more comfortable; our pets also need accessories to make their lives comfortable too. For example, dog collars; humans like to show-off neck chains and necklaces when they go out for a walk or for an evening out and we make sure that they fit us just right, they are not to tight so that they choke us or to loose that they might burn or scratch our neck with the friction. Well, dog collars should be the same, not to loose so that it might not burn their skin as the collar moves side to side around their necks or to tight that you might choke and hurt them as we tug on the leash. We should always buy our dog collar according to their size and that you can fit two fingers between your pets neck and the collar.
Another accessory which I think is necessary is a dog bed. Most people think that just because they are animals they can sleep on the cold floor or on the ground and they will feel comfortable, well, you try sleeping on a cold floor and you will see its not comfortable at all, and I should know, I slept on the cold ground in Vietnam and it did not feel good. So as animal lover I want my pet to feel comfortable and I think he should sleep in a nice bed, I sleep in one, and he should too.
Dog carriers are one of the most necessary accessories for the people who have small dogs and like to travel with them. There are lots of dog carriers out there for small pets, there are sling carriers that you put around your shoulder and carriers that look like hand bags, but always remember, buy a carrier with enough space for your pet to feel comfortable. If you are traveling with a much larger dog there are cages that most airlines demand that you get and they too should be large enough for your dog to move around.
