Chihuahua clothes are showing up in dog stores everywhere, today, it seems. There are relatively few dog stores around today that don’t also have a clothes for small dogs section of their store. And this is most likely so because small chihuahua dog clothes have been very big this year, in terms of popularity. And when it comes to what style of this clothing is most popular with the chihuahua crowd, it’s very much the season for the heavier, warm dog clothes. For now, the chihuahua coats and hoodies and fleeces are the king of the small dog clothing world!
Moving from December to Jan, it only gets colder. And along with that shift, plenty of small dog owners opt to walk their dogs less frequently. But, in the winter, a small dog’s need for exercise doesn’t disappear! So to keep your chihuahua dog healthy, a lot of dog professionals endorse walking your dog an identical quantity in the winter. And for dog lovers who live in a colder part of the spinning blue ball, this can be a problem. Tiny dogs do tend to get fairly cold.
And this is precisely the more heavy small chihuahua clothes step in. With modern chihuahua coats, your little dog can stay warm when it’s super cold outdoors. With a thick layer of protection from the sour winter climate, your little dog can easily walk comfortably outdoors when she may instead be utterly freezing and experiencing discomfort.
And another addition you can make to your small dog clothes collection is the chihuahua sweater. With these sweaters beneath your chihuahua’s coat, there’s an additional layer of insulation that keeps your chihuahua even more toasty and warm when it gets cold where you live. With that 2nd layer of chihuahua clothing, your poochie stays a happier dog.
So if you reside in a cool part of our planet with your chihuahua, there’s truly no uncertainty about it if you want to keep your small dog balanced and healthy by walking her consistently this season. You have to pick up at least some heavier chihuahua clothes for her so that she does not freeze. Smaller short haired dogs, especially chihuahuas, cool down quite easily, and whenever there’s snow and ice concerned, forget about it! They will freeze and shiver and shake so soon after leaving the house with you and walking out into the cold air… It isn’t even funny. So be sure to keep your little pets warm this winter with heavier chihuahua fashion for her.

Dog pyjamas are definitely not the most well known type of dog clothing around today. Some pet owners would even laugh at the mere notion of dressing up their pet dog in a pair of pyjamas. But at the same time, those who use these pyjamas for their dogs typically hold them in very high esteem. Particularly those who have smaller puppies and likewise dogs that have shorter hair, this kind of unusual dog apparel can make a major difference to your pet dog. Today, a lot of dogs are being helped out at night by their owners who dress them up in canine pyjamas. Right now, there are a few different styles of these doggy nightwear outfits, and I’m just going to quickly review them, here.
The most well known and popular style of dog pyjama clothing owners are picking up for their chihuahuas and other dogs are the long sleeved pyjamas. These have long sleeves that pretty much cover everything, including your dog’s hairy legs Usually, these pet PJs are made of flannel material. And these great little PJs for your dog can insulate virtually his entire body, which helps him stay a lot more warm when sleeping.
The second most popular type of dog pyjamas are very similar to the kind you just read about. They’re the same in every regard, except they do not have long sleeves. These are great for dogs that don’t quite need the level of insulation that the long sleeve dog PJs provide. So for some dogs, these are better.
The third type of dog pyjamas I’m seeing out in the chihuahua shops and the dog boutique stores right now are a little different. These dog pyjamas have a bit more style than their relatively dull counterparts! These are the costume pyjamas for dogs. The most popular one I’m seeing right now is the bunny rabbit themed dog pyjamas for chihuahuas and smaller dogs. The chihuahua lovers are having a field day with these adorable little pyjamas for their dogs. The people with chihuahuas and smaller dogs are enjoying these mix of cool chihuahua clothes and pyjamas for these little guys.
So these are the three primary styles of doggy pyjamas. I’m sure there are other types, but you’ll at least be more informed as a customer now, knowing of these three most popular types of PJs for dogs of almost any size.

As a chihuahua clothes fashion traveller, I get to see a lot of different places, and notice a lot of owners picking out new outfits for their chihuahuas. These little chihuahua dog clothes and outfits are selling like crazy right now! And it’s the chihuahua clothing lovers who are fashion-aware themselves who I see buying these dog clothes most often. They’re the people who are all dressed up nice and with some fashion sense, themselves!
And, of course, this all makes sense: Sally is a gal with a passion for fashion. Sally also really likes chihuahua dogs. Do you see where this is headed? Sally likes to put the two together and loves clothing her chihuahua in awesome chihuahua clothes and browsing pink dog clothes when she has a spare moment. The connection is made for her through fashion into the various areas of he life, including her relationship with her chihuahua dog.
This is a theme I see over and over again: The people who are dressed the best tend to also dress their dogs better than the fashion-ignorant. The dude with the formal wear on has his chihuahua wearing a chihuahua tux. The gal who dresses all in pink dolls up her chihuahua puppy in pink chihuahua dresses. And the more casually dressed have their dogs sporting the casual dog clothes like chihuahua hoodies and shirts. I’ve been noticing this trend all over with chihuahua clothing and chihuahua dog clothes in every place I have been to over this past year!
Obviously, this much more than a simple coincidence. It’s the principle presented in The Secret mostly at work here, with people bringing more of what they focus on, into their world. This law of attraction is bringing chihuahuas and their owners together through a bond of clothing. And you can spot it yourself when you go out to a busy place. Just chill out and check out the dog people. Notice how the dog that’s dressed up in puppy collars and chihuahua jewelry has an owner who wears jewelry, herself. And also notice how that poor little chihuahua in the argyle sweater has an owner with next to zero fashion sense. This is happening all over the place!
Now usually, I’m the biggest proponent of these tiny chihuahua clothes and all the fun they bring to the pet owning equation. But if you’re going to clothe your chihuahua in small dog clothing, at least make sure their clothes go together well and math each other, especially if you shop at the Chihuahua Shop. If you can remember that one point, you should have no problems in your journey with you little dog and his chihuahua outfits!
A big reason Chihuahua Clothes are incredibly popular with people who have smaller dogs is they let us doll up our smaller dogs with adorable little sweaters and shirts and make them into our little cutie pie pets! Some dog enthusiasts love doing this, and yet some other people worry about the effect this has on their dog, concerned for their dog’s comfort. I personally like to dress my little chihuahuas up in their costumes and cute coats, but there are times when I can see where those people on the other side of the fence are coming from.
On walks with my two chihuahuas, I’ve seen quite a few other little dogs being walked by their owners where those little dogs were wearing clothing and did not seem too happy about it. The little dogs walked behind their owner in a slow, defiant way, head pulling away a little, and walking in a weird, unnatural way, almost with a sort of limp in their step. I’ve seen this a lot actually, and I have started focusing in when I spot this scenario with little dogs wearing chihuahua clothes passing by on the street, and I try to see if I can figure out if the dog’s clothing is fitting him properly. Most of the time everything is fine: the dog looks comfortable and adorable in his little shirt or sweater. Other times, however, you see the dog is a bit uncomfortable because the clothing is clearly too small for him.
For owners, chihuahua clothes are more about making the dog look adorable and cute, typically. But if you think about it from the dog’s perspective, all he really cares about is how comfortable the clothes make him feel. Of course, I’m not a dog psychology expert, but I think we can all agree that realistically, you dog doesn’t care about how his chihuahua clothes look when he’s wearing them.
So again, for a lot of dog people who dress up their little pups in clothing, that clothing is much more for them and how the clothes make their dog look than it is for the dog and how comfortable it is keeping him. Perhaps, though, we could take better care of our little loves by noticing a bit more how comfortable they seem when they’re wearing the clothing we’ve dressed them in and paying attention to how well their coats and costumes fit. By doing this, we can help our chihuahua and other small dogs be happier when wearing their chihuahua clothing, and everyone wins: we have our little adorable pets in their clothing, and our little pets are more comfortable when wearing their little dog clothes!
